Armuchee High School graduate, Peyton Christen, who is now a senior at Kennesaw State University is on a mission to help others.
Christen recently won the title of Miss Flint River 2023 which is an official local preliminary title in the Miss Georgia and Miss America Organizations.
She will be competing for the title of Miss Georgia this June.
Watch as Christen shares her journey to Miss Georgia as well as her service initiative, “Cooper’s Chance”- supporting the access to special needs education programs across the state and hopefully the nation.
2.COOSA VALLEY PERSON OF THE MONTH – AMARA HOWARD
Amara Howard had one goal in mind. That goal was to graduate high school with an acceptance letter from Harvard University. That goal has not only been reached, but she was also recently named Valedictorian at Model High School.

After years of working for corporate, Chrystal Collins decided to go out on her own. Not only has Collins opened one of the premier hair salons in northwest Georgia, but she has opened a place that can only be found in major cities.
